On May 16, 2017, the research group of human ovarian tissue cryopreservation and clinical transformation jointly formed by Shandong Yinfeng Life Science Research Institute and Reproductive Center in Qilu Hospital of Shandong University went to Xianyang, Shaanxi Province, and performed ovarian tissue separation and cryopreservation for a woman with uterine cancer.

It is understood that some patient named Tian, suffering from uterine cancer and need to be performed hysterectomy and one side of oophorectomy, the patient wanted frozen eggs for fertility preservation, but when she learned that the Yinfeng Life Sciences Research Institute is conducting ovarian preservation technology research which has a greater advantage in fertility preservation, she applies for participation in the research and clinical trials. At present, the staff of institute has isolated 9 pieces of ovarian cortical tissue and successfully performed vitrification. The frozen ovarian tissue was successfully transported back to Jinan for preservation.

The research on cryopreservation and clinical transformation of human ovarian tissue is one of the research projects jointly conducted by Shandong Yinfeng Life Sciences Research Institute and Qilu Hospital of Shandong University and other clinical institutions and other scientific research institutions, aiming to screen the highly effective protective system and methods of frozen human ovarian tissues, to establish a complete female fertility preservation center that protect the reproductive health of many women with cancer.
